1999 Casella Cottlers Bridge Shiraz

A highly decorated wine, that has to date won the Trophy for the Best red under $15 as well as three gold medals and one silver - and value for money the wine certainly impresses. Medium bodied, crimson mauve colour, showing its youthfulness. Intense inky, confectionery, cherry and blackberry nose with vanilla and cinnamon end notes. Excellent palate length with flavours of plum, spice, liquorice, smoky oak and inky blackberry finish. Fine grained, soft tannin structure, followed by a long smoky, oak, ink and liquorice aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
