The Burramurra vineyard now belongs to former Kennett Government Agricultural Minister, Pat McNamara, who was certainly a hard working Minister for his Country members. This is the first wine that we’ve seen from his vineyard (although he had been growing grapes for quite a while).

Very deep crimson colour. The nose is impressive, and displays notes of ripe plum, spice, marzipan, ripe blackberries and liquorice. On the palate, the tannins seem to override the fruit, but will settle down. Flavours of stewed fruit, mint and blackcurrant. Long lingering dry tannins, push this wine out of balance for the time being. Aftertaste of mint and blackberry.
Cellar 3-4 years (2004-2005).
