1999 Berrys Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine has similarities with the 1999 Shiraz, in that the wine has great weight but lacks in the flavour profile. Opaque crimson colour. Aroma of blackcurrant, spice and mint with a hint of truffle as an end note. The palate has weight and abundant ripe fruits character but lacks the length and complexity. The two Berry’s Bridge wines are an expression of body weight, without the grace necessary to make them great wine. Aftertaste of blackcurrant and spice. Cellar 4-5 years.
