1999 Beringer Appellation Collection Chardonnay

A generous, full bodied chardonnay, with a distinctly Californian flavour profile. Bright pale gold colour. Aroma of hazelnut, butterscotch and biscuit, showing a great deal of complexity yet with a distinctive terroir quality. On the palate, flavours of yeast lees, toasted oak and almonds. Dry, with excellent depth and persistence. Creamy texture followed by a very long aftertaste of hazelnut, almond, yeast lees and butterscotch.
