1999 Bannockburn By Farr Viognier

Bright, pale straw colour. Outstanding nose, almost perfumed, with Classic Viognier aroma of very ripe fruits on the turn, followed by nuances of tropical fruit. The palate is a lot simpler than the nose suggests, and the wine does not have the weight or complexity of the Yalumba Virgilius. The palate again reflects the classic Viognier flavour, but without the mouthfeel and power of a great example of the style. Clean finish. Cellar 2-3 years.
