1999 Bannockburn By Farr Chardonnay

Bright, deep straw colour, with brassy overtones. Aroma of nut, toasted oak, yeast lees and cashews. The start of a sophisticated wine. The palate displays flavours of toasted oak, roast almonds, hazelnut and yeast lees, followed by a hint of grapefruit. The wine has good structure to cellar for the next 2-3 years, but at the moment it remains still fairly straightforward. Dry aftertaste, followed by toasted nut and yeast lees.
