$83.88 Dozen
Closure: Cork

The old notion of Griffith as a bulk wine producer is slowly changing, but that’s not to say they don’t still produce a lot of it, it is just that many producers are starting to refocus their efforts towards premium wine production. This wine has already won 3 gold medals 1 trophy and 2 silver medals. Brilliant, deep straw colour. Excellent lifted nose, with aromas of confectionery, subtle herbal notes, honey and tropical fruit end notes. Full bodied palate with flavours of citrus, grapefruit and peach. The acidity is still holding up, but do not cellar more than a year, as the palate will start to flatten out. Good length and aftertaste of honey and peach with herbaceous ending.

Retasted: April 2001
Bright deep straw colour. The nose displays aroma of yeast lees, tropical fruit, spice and peach. The palate is broad, quite spicy, with a very spicy back palate, followed by flavours of tropical fruit, citrus and nut. Soft acid finish, with long lingering, very spicy aftertaste. Cellar 1-2 years.
