1998 Yalumba Mawson's Coonawarra Cabernet Shiraz Merlot

Yalumba have named this wine after the Antarctic Explorer, Sir Douglas Mawson, whose expeditions Yalumba partly funded in the early years of last century. Medium body, crimson colour. Excellent nose with aromas of blackcurrant, spice, vanilla and cedar. Mouthfilling palate flavours of chocolate, mocca, blackcurrant and cedar. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance, followed by long aftertaste of liquorice, blackcurrant, cedar and spice.
