1998 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

A magnificent tightly knit wine with the structure to see out 8-10 years of cellaring and beyond. Totally opaque black, crimson colour. The blackcurrant aromas are very pronounced and provide that unmistakable Coonawarra stamp. Cedar, spice and violet notes are in the background heralding a very sophisticated palate. Mouthfilling palate flavours, packed with the flavour of ripe blackcurrants, liquorice and spice. Classic Coonawarra palate! Fine grained, dry, firmish yet perfectly balanced tannins. Outstanding structure for the long haul. Very long aftertaste of cedar, blackcurrants, spice, vanilla and liquorice.
