$515.88 Dozen
Closure: Cork

The Angelus is Wirra Wirra’s best Cabernet Sauvignon and derives its name from the Jesuit Church bell at Norwood, which is rung at the start and finish of vintage, and on other special occasions. Produced from 63% Adelaide Cabernet and 27% Coonawarra Cabernet, the wine was matured in French oak for 20 months. This is yet another exceptional bottle of wine that reflects the greatness of the 1998 Vintage.Opaque black, crimson colour. The nose has the hallmarks of a very sophisticated wine, and the palate does not let this impression down. Superb perfumed aroma of violets, blackcurrant, cedar and spice. Flavours of chocolate, spice, blackcurrant and cedar fill every corner of the mouth and display great persistence. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance, followed by a very long aftertaste of cedar spice and blackcurrant. Cellar 5-8 years
