1998 Warburn Estate Show Reserve Shiraz

Very deep crimson colour with mauve edges. Earthy Rhone like nose top note, followed by spice, pepper, vanilla and plum. The palate is generous, yet not as complex as might have been anticipated from the nose. The flavours of pepper, plum and spice on the palate is evident and is extended by a pronounced spicy pepper back palate. Fine grained tannins, well balanced, followed by a vanilla, plum, spice aftertaste. A big, old fashioned rich ripe Shiraz.
