1998 Tatachilla Adelaide Hills Chardonnay

The fruit for this wine was grown at Lenswood and Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills. Bright straw colour. Classic barrel fermented aromas of cinnamon, spice, butterscotch, toasted oak, yeast lees and melon. On the palate a creamy texture is supported by butterscotch, pear, melon, yeast lees and almond flavour. Good length, however, spoiled a little by a relatively short aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
