1998 Storm Ridge Cabernet Merlot

A 50/50 blend made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This is a very soft approachable young wine. Medium bodied crimson mauve colour. The nose is appealing with its lifted blackcurrant and spice aromas followed by hints of mulberry and violets. The palate is filled with ripe fruit flavours and is quite straightforward. Mulberry, cherry, plum flavours followed by fine soft tannins and blackcurrant cherry aftertaste. Drink over the next 2-3 years.
