The Cabernet has been blended with 7% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Very deep crimson, mauve colour. Excellent, Bordeaux like nose, with aroma of violets, cedar, blackcurrant and spice. The palate displays Classic Cabernet flavours of blackcurrant , overlayed by spice, plum and cedar, but lacks power and persistence. Fine grained tannins with a long aftertaste of plum, cedar and spice. Cellar 2-3 years.

Retasted: March 2001

Medium body, deep crimson colour. The nose is very appealing with aromas of liquorice and blackcurrant over cedar and spice end notes. The palate weight is relatively light, and there is little depth or persistence. Flavours of blackcurrant emerge. Soft tannin structure, followed by an aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedar and liquorice. Cellar 1-2 years.
