1998 Salisbury Chardonnay

Salisbury is a big producer of high quality affordable every day drinking wines and in recent times has merged with Cranswick Estate to form a formidable public company with considerable clout on the world export markets. The Salisbury Chardonnay is modelled on the highly successful Lindemans Bin 65 for which the Salisbury winemaker, Bob Shields was previously responsible for. Bright straw colour with pronounced melon, tropical fruit and peach nose with just a hint of yeast lees. On the palate the peach flavours are dominant, followed by a hint of nut on the back palate. Soft acid finish. Cellar 1-2 years.
