1998 Richmond Grove Limited Release Barossa Shiraz

Not as full bodied as the 1997, but none the less a very credible Barossa Shiraz. Very deep crimson colour with mauve edges. The nose has great appeal, with aroma of spice, blackcurrant, blackberry, liquorice and plum, followed by vanilla and cedar end notes. Ripe palate fruit flavours, with generous mouthfeel. Flavours of ripe plum, liquorice and blackberries are followed by a touch of chocolate on the back palate and supported by fine grained, but dry tannins. Excellent length and concentration, with long lingering aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
