1998 Pikes Cabernet

A blend of 95% Cabernet and 5% Cabernet Franc. Deep crimson mauve colour. Impressive nose with aroma of plum, leather, blackcurrent and spice followed by raspberry liquorice end notes. The palate structure is tightly knit with distinct plum spice flavours. Fine grained tight tannins, in balance followed by liquorice, plum, blackcurrent after taste. A youthful wine that needs 10-12 years cellaring.
