Opaque crimson colour, with deep crimson edge. The nose is very impressive, with aroma of spice, liquorice allsorts, blackcurrants and marzipan. The palate is generous, full bodied, with flavours of spice and blackcurrant, hints of toasted oak and tobacco, with a hint of leafy Cabernet, but held very much in check. Fine grained, dry, firmish tannins, perfect balance, with long aftertaste of chocolate, spice and blackcurrant. Cellar 3-4 years.
