1998 O'Shea & Murphy Rosebery Hill Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc Merlot

The blend consists of 50%Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot. The wine has spent 22 months maturing in French oak pungeons. Excellent, refined nose with aroma of violets, cedar, blackcurrant, and spice, followed by confectionary end notes, and just a hint of truffle. The palate structure is refined, Bordeaux like, with flavours of cedar, blackcurrant, liquorice, spice and truffle. Fine grained tannins, followed by a long aftertaste of blackcurrant, stewed fruit, spice and liquorice.
