1998 Mount Avoca Shiraz

A very successful vintage. Bright deep crimson colour with distinct mauve edge. Excellent aroma with lifted notes of spice, blackberry, vanilla, confectionary and ripe plum. The palate displays generous ripe fruit flavour with plum and blackpepper to the fore, followed by balanced vanillan oak. Fine grained tannins with excellent persistence and very long spice and vanilla aftertaste. Cellar 5-6 years.
