1998 Leroy Bourgogne Rouge

This wine is showing its age. Translucent brick red colour with brick red tawny hue. Aroma of stewed fruit, followed by a hint of spice, leather and strawberry jam. The palate fruit flavours are drying out, with strawberry jam flavours evident but fading. Fine dry tannins which persist into the aftertaste, with leather and earth characteristics persisting.
