This wine has been produced using the 'Amarone' method which originates from Valpollcella near Lake Garda in Northern Italy, whereby the grapes are carefully dried before crushing to make this unique style of wine.Made from a blend of 90% Mclaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot sourced from Coonawarra & Mclaren Vale. The Cabernet Sauvignon lays down a dark, brooding foundation, while the Merlot produces some highlights in the perfume. The wine opens up with an array of red berry fruits, violets and cedary oak. Despite the obvious power and weight in the mouth, the lasting impression comes from the finely grained tannins coated in sweet fruit. It is destined for a long cellar life. 14.5% alcohol volume.
