1998 Jackson Estate Chardonnay

Bright straw colour. Delightful aromas of barrel fermented Chardonnay with excellent integration of the aroma components, nutty yeast lees, butterscotch and subtle smoky oak. Mouthfilling palate with again excellent balance of components, melon peach and cashew flavours are superbly integrated with toasted oak and yeast lees with an added complexity that is almost viognier like in its fruit flavour. Very long toasted almond, cashew and melon aftertaste followed by a hint of aniseed. Cellar 3-5 years.
