This cool climate area of NSW is producing some very good Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Deep brick red colour is impressive with distinct varietal character. Aromas of cherry, strawberry and spice are carried onto the palate where the flavour of liquorice enhances the wine and is integrated with touches of toasted oak. The tannins are very well balanced, but just a little firm, however, there will settle down over the next 2-3 years. Spicy cherry and toasted oak aftertaste.
