1998 Hardys Padthaway Unwooded Chardonnay

A well made example of unwooded Chardonnay. Bright very pale straw colour. Aromas of spice, nut and melon with a citrus end note. Good lift but not intense. The palate has weight, however, the intensity of flavour does drop back after an initial impact. Melon, tropical fruit, spice and nut flavours are apparent. Clean, crisp acid finish with spice and tropical fruit aftertaste. Cellar 1-3 years.
