1998 Domaine A Stoney Vineyard Pinot Noir

This Pinot is unfiltered in order to maximise flavour. Very deep crimson colour, which is slightly dull, due to the wine being unfiltered. Aroma of spice and plum with hints of cherry and liquorice. The wine is very well made, but lacks varietal character, and the palate flavour wanes, this is not the hallmark of Great Pinot Noir. Mouthfilling flavour of cherry, spice and liquorice, with both weight and depth of flavour. Velvet smooth tannins, followed by a long spice and cherry aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
