1998 Chateau Tahbilk Marsanne

The wine is relatively simple at this stage of its development, but has the promise to fill out over the next 4-5 years. Bright pale straw colour. The nose is quite delightful, lifted honeysuckle floral aromas with a tropical fruits end note. The palate lets the nose down at this stage, slightly dilute, delicate flavour with some honeysuckle evident. Clean crisp acid finish with a subtle citrus aftertaste.

Chateau Tahbilk notes:Chateau Tahbilk was established in 1860 and is Victoria's oldest family owned winery. This marsanne is unwooded and exhibits intense aromas of lemon, honey and peach which are reflected onto the palate. Plenty of flavour with long aftertaste and a crisp finish. With bottle age the wine will develop some honeysuckle characters. 13.0 % alcohol volume.
