1998 Cathcart Ridge Estate Rhymney Reef Cabernet Merlot

This wine is showing its age. Medium body, brick red colour with brick red hue. Developed aroma of leather, stewed fruit and cedar. The palate fruit flavours are drying out. Stewed fruit, cedar and leather flavours emerge, with the fruit almost gone. A wine that is past its peak. Soft tannins. Stewed fruit, leather aftertaste.
