Barbera is among the best known and appreciated wines of Oltrepò Pavese and at Castello di Luzzano is obtained from the oldest vineyards that have a very limited production.

Grape variety: 100% Piedmont Barbera
Region: The southern most area of Lombardia known as Allotrope Pavese.
Production: The grapes are fermented using traditional methods until dry followed by one year in tank before release.
Characteristics: An intensely scented red wine that suggests licorice and soft fruits. The dry and full bodied taste makes it on of the most famous wines of Oltrepò Pavese. It has an intense taste and aroma that improves with age and can be cellared for over 8 years.
Serve: Approximately 20ºC and allow time to breathe.
Try With: Magnificent with stewed meats, braised beef and game.
