1998 Browns' of Padthaway Shiraz

An excellent result for Donald Brown and his Family. Very deep almost opaque deep crimson colour. The nose is very appealing with aromas of cedar and truffle enhanced by the aroma of ripe plum and stewed fruit, over a touch of leather as an end note. The palate is full bodied, with distinct flavours of chocolate, plum, spice and liquorice, followed by a very spicy black pepper end palate. Excellent weight and length with perfectly balanced, fine grained tannins, followed by very long plum, stewed fruit aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
