1998 Batista Estate Pinot Noir

A very well made, full bodied Pinot Noir with weight and colour. Deep crimson colour. Aroma of cherry and spice followed by a hint of strawberry and gamey end notes. The nose is appealing but having said that it's not a Classic Pinot Noir. The palate has good weight and mouthfeel with cherry, spice and liquorice flavours dominant. Fine grained, soft tannins, followed by long, cherry, spice and liquorice aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
