Since their inception in 1988, the E&E wines have won world acclaim, being awarded trophies in the International Wine Competition in London and rated in the USA’s Wine Spectator’s Top 10. Each year, a small parcel of E&E Black Pepper Shiraz is set aside for secondary fermentation and maturation on yeast lees. This extended maturation and disgorgement in the methode champenoise, gives the wine great character and finesse.
The E&E range emanates from old, dry grown vines up to 60 years of age in the north-east region of the Barossa. While producing only a meagre yield each year, 1–2 tonnes an acre, this hand picked fruit shows the depth and concentration of flavour that Barossa Shiraz has become known around the world for. The close relationship between winemaker and growers has further enhanced this range which has a reputation that continues to grow with each vintage release.

Tasting Notes: Deep, earthen brick red colour with a purple hue. Lifted ripe cherry and black fruit aromas with integrated oak, coffee and chocolate nuances. A vibrant palate displaying full, rich, ripe flavours of dark plum, blackcurrant and mulberry fruit. Great depth and length, finishing with a fine creamy mouthfeel.
Cellar up to 3 years.
