1998 Ballingal Estate Premium Selection Marsanne

Bright deep straw colour with a green tinge. The aroma is quite pronounced and dominated by strong cinnamon notes, spice, mixed herbs and a honeysuckle end note. Good weight and mouthfeel with toasty cinnamon and mixed herb flavours developing. Good length and persistence, however, a touch coarse on the back palate, but acceptable, followed by long cinnamon spice aftertaste. Drink over the next 1-2 years before it broadens out too much.
