1998 Ashbrook Estate Chardonnay

This wine has been partially matured in new French oak for 6 months. Bright straw colour. Aromas of melon and peach followed by a nutty background. Mouthfilling palat, with excellent length and concentration of flavour. Flavours of citrus, vanillin oak, butterscotch and spice are all well integrated. Excellent balance, crisp acidity with very long spicy cinnamon, peach and tropical fruit aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
