1998 Abbotts Cumulus Shiraz

This wine has been made from old wines and has been bottled unfiltered. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of spice and ripe plum followed by a touch of earth and blackcurrant. The nose is very appealing. The palate is dry and very much ‘French’ in its structure. Tight knit Shiraz with a leanness about it that makes it a wine of stark contrast to the rich ripe voluptuous Barossa and McLaren Vale styles. Fine grained tannins, but perfectly balanced followed by very long aftertaste.
