1997 Wilson Vineyard Gallery Series Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep brick red colour. The nose displays a very pronounced aroma of leather, earth and mint, which is followed by a touch of plum and spice. Again on the palate, the earthy mint flavours are quite dominant, leaving the blackcurrant and spice components well in the background. In spite of their being only 10% Merlot in the blend the varietal makes quite a significant contribution which lasts well into the after flavour. Excellent balance fine grained tannins, and long mint, earth, plum and spice aftertaste. Cellar 8-10 years.
