1997 Rumball Coonawarra Cuvee Vintage Sparkling Shiraz

Creamy dark red mousse showing moderate hold which dissipates to reveal a deep dark red coloured base wine with a brick red hue. Very fine bead showing good persistence. The nose is a little subdued at first but opens up to reveal aromas of blackberry, liquorice and dark plum with a leathery earth like overlay. Very rich and still possessing plenty of fruit the palate delivers a flavour profile of ripe blackberry, dark plum and dark chocolate followed by some liquorice and earthy leather. Creamy rich mouthfeel with long aftertaste of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and earthy leather.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
