1997 Hardys Tintara Shiraz

A magnificent follow up to the 1995 & 1996 Tintara Shiraz and quite monumental in its structure. Opaque crimson colour with purple edges. The nose displays a pronounced toasted oak aroma which is well balanced by blackberry and spice followed by some earthy end notes. The palate structure is solid and tight with fine firm tannin backbone giving the wine its grip and emphasising the rich ripe blackberry flavours. Superb integration with oak creating some vanilla, spice and chocolate flavour. Fine firmish tannins with long earthy plum aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
