This was the first of the Giaconda Cabernets in the line up, and by far the best. Deep crimson mauve colour. Aroma of blackcurrant, cedar, spice, truffle and earth, very impressive and very much a Classic Bordeaux style. The palate is relatively tight with flavours of blackcurrant, spice and toasted oak emerging. Excellent length and depth of flavour, followed by fine grained tannins and very long blackcurrant, cedar and truffle aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
