1997 Frankland Estate Olmo's Reward Dry Red

A Bordeaux inspired red, made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The colour is showing premature development with brick red colour and deep mauve edges. The nose also reflects developed characters of leather, stewed fruit, hints of truffle and cedar. The palate flavours are beginning to dry out leaving flavours of leather, earth and cedar over a background of liquorice all sorts and blackcurrant. Fine grained tannins, aftertaste of earth, stewed fruit and cedar. Drink now.
