1997 Coriole Mary Kathleen Reserve Cabernet Merlot

An outstanding wine from Coriole, made from a blend of 80% Cabernet and 20% Merlot. Opaque crimson purple colour. Excellent aroma of cedar, spice, vanilla, chocolate, dark plum and toasted oak followed by a liquorice end note. On the palate the flavours are mouthfilling with generous ripe fruits. Ripe plums and mulberry are intertwined with cedar, spice and vanilla, creating a wine of excellent balance. Warm finish with ripe plum chocolate aftertaste. Cellar 8-10 years.
