1997 Chateau Tahbilk Marsanne

An excellent example of the style from an outstanding vintage. Bright pale straw colour. Delicate, yet pronounced nose of honeysuckle and pear with distinct peach and citrus background notes. The palate manages that unusual combination of depth, flavour and austerity without tipping the balance scales either way. Clean crisp acid finish with 10 years plus cellaring potential. With time the honeysuckle aroma and flavour intensifies to the point of becoming quite perfumed (try some as a fragrance!) to the point where you'll either fall in love totally or find it too overbearing, which ever way your preferences develop, cellar a dozen.
