1997 Chandon Vintage Blanc de Noir

1997 was characterised by a wetter than normal spring in 1996 resulting in a vigorous initial flush in the vineyard. The ripening season was regarded as one of the best on record, resulting in a perfect and clean 1997 harvest.

Made from 100% Pinot Noir. Yellow copper to light gold colour. Four years of yeast age have produced a strong very traditional complexyeasty / bread dough aroma with hints of nuts and dried fruits aroma. The palate is a typical Pinot Noir structure; even intensity along the palate with length and persistence. The flavours are savoury and reflect the yeastiness of the nose.
