1997 Cape Mentelle Trinders Vineyard Cabernet Merlot

Deep brick red colour with crimson overtones. The nose displays some earthy characteristics, followed by a slightly herbaceous end note. Well balanced palate, with rich plum, blackcurrants and peppery back palate. Good length, fine firmish dry tannins with a hint of leather. Ending with good balance of leather, earth and slightly herbaceous aftertaste. Cellar 5-6 years.
