1997 Bleasdale Generations Shiraz

Langhorne Creek, South Australia, AUSTRALIA
$34. 99
Bottle
$419.88 Dozen
Closure: Cork

After several years of having a relatively low, sleepy profile, Bleasdale is reinventing themselves to be a very interesting ‘new’, old wine producer.
Totally opaque – deep crimson, mauve colour. Aromas of spice, ripe plum, vanilla, chocolate, stewed fruit and black pepper – now if one considered that to be enough, further complexity is added to the nose by a very distinct marzipan end note. The palate flavours are very complex. A very strong black pepper end palate supports flavours of plum, liquorice and vanilla. Outstanding length and depth of flavour. Fine grained perfectly balanced tannins, followed by very long black pepper almond aftertaste. Cellar 4-5 years. Stocks are limited.
