1997 Best's Great Western Cabernet Sauvignon

Produced from a low yielding year and blended with 13% Merlot. Deep crimson brick red colour. Superb, spicy, plum, stewed fruits nose followed by hints of liquorice, and then at the end, the stewed fruits aromas reappear and are followed by a tea leaf end note. On the palate the flavours are mouthfilling with stewed fruits and spice being dominant, but marred a touch by a hint of tea leaf and leafy flavour. Fine grained firmish yet dry tannins with very long stewed fruit, spice and plum aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
