1997 Berry Bros & Rudd Benrinnes 19 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Benrinnes has enjoyed almost continual production, aside from a brief closure during the two world wars. The single malt is highly acclaimed by blenders. Its partial triple distillation makes it one of the most individualistic malts in the Diageo portfolio. This near two decades old Benrinnes distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2017 from a single cask is a rarity.

Notes from the bottlers.... Deep nutty aromas dominate initially. There is a jammy, intense fruit that emerges to give quince and bruised apples. The palate is unctuous with bags of apples, yellow fruit and a hint of peat. The finish is long, lingering, sweet and spicy. Non chill filtered. 46% Alc./vol.
