1996 Yalumba Reserve Clare Valley Shiraz

The 1996 growing season for Shiraz in the Clare Valley produced wines of exceptional flavour. Medium bodied deep crimson colour, with aromas of ripe blackberries, spice and plum with hints of vanillin oak and mocca in the background. The palate displays flavours of stewed fruit and spiced plums with just a hint of liquorice. Good length, fine dry tannin structure, well balanced with long plum and spice aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
