The Eight Songs presentation is the high point of slick marketing and presentation. A special box holding eight bottles only has been designed, together with the eight different labels representing the eight songs, a delightful small publication on high quality art paper, and a paint brush is attached. In many ways the presentation is a total overkill which creates a negative impression upon the purchaser. How much is being paid for the wine and how much for the pack. We are the first to encourage innovative presentation but there is a very fine line between excellence and overkill. However, this wine deserves to be surrounded in excellence, which would rightly reflect its outstanding qualities.Deep crimson brick red colour with a mauve edge and already showing signs of some bottle development. Superb aroma of liquorice, chocolate, spice, stewed fruits, prunes and confectionery. An exotic start to this wine which ultimately releases even more exotic end notes. Totally mouthfilling palate, highly concentrated, with flavours of dark chocolate, cherries, plum, prunes, liquorice and spice. A magnificent indulgence and a remarkable essay in voluptuousness, that only the Peter Lehmann group of winemakers seem to be able to capture. Fine grained dry tannins, followed by very long prune, liquorice, spice and plum aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years. EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCKS.
