1996 Orlando Lawson's Padthaway Shiraz

This bottle is decorated like a Christmas tree, with 7 Gold Medals to date, and no doubt more to follow. The show success of the wine can in part be attributed to the very reliable growing conditions of Padthaway. Very deep crimson colour. The nose is perfumed with aroma of spice, vanilla, violets, hints of earth and a pleasant meaty end note. The palate does not disappoint, with generous mouth filling flavours. Spice, confectionery, chocolate, vanilla, ripe plums and stewed fruit, which are perfectly balanced, and supported by fine grained dry tannins and very long lingering aftertaste of vanilla and confectionery. STOCKS ARE VERY LIMITED.
